The 3rd China Conference on Safety and Emergency Science, Technology and Equipment Successfully Held in Ganzhou, Jiangxi

The Association of Natural Sciences and Information Engineering of the Asia-Pacific was invited to participate in the 3rd China Conference on Safety and Emergency Science, Technology and Equipment, held from May 22 to 24, 2026, in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, China. The event brought together nearly 200 experts, scholars, researchers, and industry representatives to exchange views on emerging developments in safety science, emergency technologies, intelligent monitoring, and engineering applications.

The conference was jointly organized by a group of leading universities in China, including Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, Shenyang Ligong University, China University of Mining and Technology, Northeastern University, University of Science and Technology Beijing, South China University of Technology, Anhui University of Science and Technology, Liaoning Technical University, Liaoning Technical University, Dalian Jiaotong University, Dalian University of Technology, Heilongjiang University of Science and Technology, Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, Chongqing University of Science and Technology, China Three Gorges University, Wuhan University of Technology, Nanjing Tech University, China University of Petroleum (East China), and Xi’an University of Science and Technology.

The event was co-organized by the Jiangxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Safe and Efficient Mining of Rare Metal Resources, the Open-pit Mining and Slope Engineering Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics & Engineering, the Jiangxi Society for Rock and Soil Mechanics and Engineering, the School of Resources and Civil Engineering of Gannan University of Science and Technology, and Zhongqi Northern Engineering Technology Co., Ltd.

Representatives of the Association attended the conference and engaged in academic discussions with scholars from universities, research institutions, and industry organizations. The event provided an opportunity for the Association to strengthen connections with researchers working in safety science, mining engineering, geological disaster prevention, emergency management, intelligent monitoring, and related interdisciplinary fields.

Distinguished participants included Dong Bingyan, Vice President of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology; He Jinlong, Vice President of Gannan University of Science and Technology; Professor Wang Laigui of Liaoning Technical University; Professor Cui Tiejun of Shenyang Ligong University; Professor Lu Wengang of Jinan University; Professor Xiao Peng of Xi’an University of Science and Technology; Professor Zuo Qingjun of China Three Gorges University; Professor Zhang Fuqun of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology; and Professor Peng Pin of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Professor Peng Pin. Vice President Dong Bingyan and Vice President He Jinlong delivered opening remarks, highlighting the importance of scientific and technological innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the application of research achievements to address emerging safety and emergency challenges.

The conference focused on several important areas, including mine safety, geological disaster prevention and control, emergency rescue technologies, intelligent monitoring and early-warning systems, specialized emergency equipment, urban public safety, and safety assurance in resource extraction.

Through keynote presentations, thematic discussions, technical exchanges, and research achievement exhibitions, participants explored new approaches to theoretical innovation, technological development, intelligent equipment, and the practical application of scientific research.

Of particular relevance to the Association were discussions concerning intelligent monitoring, information technologies, computational approaches, and technology-enabled risk management. These areas demonstrate the growing importance of interdisciplinary collaboration between natural sciences, engineering, information technologies, and emergency management.

A formal awards ceremony was also held during the conference to recognize outstanding enterprises, individuals, research teams, and scientific achievements that have contributed to the development of safety and emergency science, technology, and equipment.

The successful conference provided a valuable platform for cross-regional, interdisciplinary, and cross-sectoral academic exchange. It strengthened communication among universities, research institutions, and industry organizations and promoted closer integration between scientific research, technological innovation, and engineering practice.
